Family Office located in Greenwich, Connecticut is seeking a dynamic, polished, organized, detail-oriented, and experienced full-time director of human resources. This position requires a passion to effectively manage the human resources of a family office to optimize productivity and employee satisfaction. Occasional domestic travel is required for the position. Candidates must be comfortable reporting to family office daily, but also working at residences when necessary. This is a newly created position with a growing family office. Family office is open to local candidates and domestic relocations. Start date is flexible for the right candidate.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and manage human resources system for family office and related entities
- Oversee relationship with Trinet, ADP, 401K and related human resources software and systems
- Set up and oversee human resources policies on-going and as-needed basis
- Communicate regularly with staff and employees about human resources policies, practices, and changes
- Oversee annual performance reviews for family office employees, domestic staff, and related entities staff
- Design and oversee on-boarding process for new staff across entities
- Coordinate workers compensation and insurance related matters with brokers, family, and staff
- Manage individual insurance policies for multiple entities and annual reviews
- Oversee day-to-day management of family office employees and related staff and consultants
- Coordinate annual offsite meeting, content, and follow-up for family office
- Organize annual family meeting working with related staff to ensure smooth meeting with appropriate follow-up
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to travel domestically whenever necessary (minimal amount of travel required)
- Above-average attention to detail and adherence to the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and organization
- Ability to work collaboratively with family office and domestic staff (office environment and remotely at locations of residences)
- Strong ability to communicate efficiently and effectively with principals, family office staff, and domestic employees
- Exceptional writing and editing skills
- Deadline oriented with the ability to handle multiple priorities
- The ability to efficiently manage and meet deadlines without sacrificing precision
- Strong and consistent follow-through on delegated tasks
- The capacity to independently manage time and priorities within established structures and procedures
- A thoughtful, collaborative, and proactive approach to problem-solving and risk management

- Strong technology skills and highly proficient with Macintosh, PC, family office software and Microsoft Office software including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5-10+ years of consistent and recent full-time human resources experience with family office
- UHNW ($1B+) family office experience
- 3-4+ references from family office position(s)
- Seeking longevity / long term commitment (e.g., 2-5+ years commitment)
- Extensive background checks, motor vehicle checks, drug tests, and psychological evaluations
- Live a commutable proximity to family office in Greenwich, Connecticut or willingness to relocate
COMPENSATION:
- $300K+ gross annual salary (based on experience and qualifications)
